The Cat and The Mouse ( Episode 8: Mission of Fate )

     Daniel was being quite for some time, he wouldn't speak. Being in the front of it all I couldn't see them, I tried to look behind me, but IceFrye wouldn't let me. I wasn't sure where we were headed just a place where Daniel knew as home. I flew him past his shrine and landed on a hilltop. Daniel jumped off and invited us in, I hope he didn't do anything stupid. 

¨ Come on in, we're family now.¨ Daniel explained

¨ You sure it's safe?¨ IceFrye whispered into my ear

¨ I'm sure of it, but just keep a good look out.¨ I answered

¨ As you wish master.¨ IceFrye replied and disappeared into the dark.

Electric 

     I walked with Hachi into the building and knew it was a trap. I stopped walking and could see every trap he put under the floor. I put a hand out in front of Hachi and she knew as well. We walked around the floor boards and looked at the art on the walls. Daniel looked back at us and he looked disappointed. I laughed inside and followed my sister to the end of the hall, there was a statue of the electric shrine maiden. It was a beautiful creature, most elegant as well. It's a lightening horse. It is an amazing creature to all of the shrine maidens. But the people have drawn the horse a different color then what the family's magic is. The electricity they gave the horse is a blue color, but its supposed to be a yellow color. We watched as the statue became flesh, the statue was the horse itself. It was a black horse with yellow eyes and yellow main and tail. The electricity was flying everywhere. I stepped back and could feel IceFrye trying to tell me something. I closed my eyes and could see what he was seeing, there were other horses in the back. Maybe they didn't have a shrine maiden and they wanted people to think they did. I opened my eyes and smiled.

" You are very smart to make us think that this horse here is the real shrine maiden," I smirk
" How did you find out?" Daniel questioned
" It was easy, did you even notice one of our members is not here," Hachi explains
" IceFrye, he found the barn," Daniel complained
" Your welcome master." IceFrye responded and appeared next to me.
" But why," Daniel asked
" Since we knew you were behind something the whole time," Icefrye replied and laughed a bit.

     Daniel stepped in front of the horse and made it disappeared. He just stood there, thinking it looked like. Hachi went up to him and slapped his face, he was thrown backwards into the rock the horse was standing on. She walks out of the shrine and waited fro us to be done. IceFrye wanted to kill him right there and then, but something inside me told met that he was on his own. He didn't know how to ask the electric shrine maiden to come down from heaven. I stopped IceFrye and told Daniel I would help him all the way. He thanked me and we prepared for the prayer. Daniel brought out the material and I just sat there, waiting. He brought out two chairs, some candles, and a image of the shrine maiden. I was impressed he knew what their human form looked like.
     We started to pray and I told him everything he had to say to bring one to their shrine. After he spoke the couple lines, a yellow light shined bright on top of the statue. The horse appeared in its real form.

" Welcome Electric." I bow
" Sorry I didn't call you earlier." Daniel bowed his head
" No worries boys you tried your best." She responded
" Now you just need to help protect it." I smile

     I stand up and bow once more, I look at Daniel who is in awe. I laugh and walk outside to my sisters side, she tapped my back and smiled. She told me as a powerful mage I'm supposed to do stuff like this.  To help the shrine maidens be happy where they are. And that's what I did, and I helped Daniel with a prayer. I guess I did learn something, never trust guys who lie to your sister. 

The Cat and The Mouse ( Episode 7: Hachi's Boyfriend )

     I said goodbye as I went up into the air on IceFrye. I could feel him breath smoke everytime I felt stressed.

" Master you know we are connected." He explained

" I finally got that, by just feeling stressed you are stressed as well. I am sorry dude, I'm just worried about my sister." I explain as well

" Don't be sorry Hara, you are the master of all mages or at least you will be. I will find your sister in no time." He replied and blew a breath of ice.

     We flew about a couple miles into land and found ourselves by Tokyo. I looked down and saw many car lights stopping and going. People were walking on the sidewalks this late for some kind of thing. IceFrye landed and turned back to a human, to at least look normal. We went onto the road and found ourselves face to face with Hachi. 

" What the hell are you guys doing here." She whispered

" Hara was worried about you so I followed your scent, and heads up he knows fire know." IceFrye laughs

" Oh, right I forgot that magic only took a day to learn." Hachi laughed.

" Good job scaring your familiar sis. I was worried about you, my mind was going crazy without you." I explain
" I think your going too over board with the worrying part, but okay. I was just about to meet my bf if you guys wanted to come with me." She smiled
" Sure, I guess we can come." I reply and follow her down the street to a cafe.

Daniel

     I looked into the cafe window and saw a male about my height, similar age. He was different then I thought since my sister likes good looking dudes instead of raggys. He had blond hair and had a bright smile on his face. I walked in beside my sister and saw his face, he looked like a shrine spirit but I knew he wasn't since he didn't know anything about the mage world. His blue eyes were light and I could see right through him. He wore a school uniform with yellow headphones around his neck. My sister walked up to the table he was sitting at and sat on his lap. I watched as he wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her cheek. I was more curious how they met then why they hooked up.

" Soo how did you guys meet each other exactly," I questioned.
" This your brother babe, he seems like your brother." He laughed
" Can you please answer my question, or sis how bout you." I demand
" Fine I'll tell you. We met at my job, which sounds pathetic but then it went from there." She smiles
" Okay, so your saying you guys have been dating for a week now since you got your job a week ago." IceFrye explained
" Wow, dude you got that correct. My names Daniel." He said shaking our hands
" I'm Haratora and this is my pal Danny." I smile while patting his back
" Okay, your sister told me a lot about you and Danny. You three go everywhere together around Tokyo, Japan to Seoul, Korea. Am I right?" He asked
" Yup, we mostly go to every shrine we can find and learn about them. I have been researching something about each of them and how they get their power." Danny explained
" Oh sweet man, that's cool because I've been doing the same thing for a school project. Maybe I can come with you guys." He asked
" No problem baby, your welcome to join," Hachi answered for me.

      I looked at Danny and we both nodded, I grabbed my sister and Danny talked to Daniel for some time. I brought her to the other side of the room and looked into her eyes, I saw some worms crawling in there. I swallowed my pride and kissed my sister's lips. I didn't know how I knew how to get the spell out of her eyes but they came out with a flick of flames. Once she came to her senses, I brought her back to the table. I also told her before hand what we were talking about, she knew what to do. She sat on the table and smacks Daniel on the cheek. He was confused, but Danny and I laughed so hard.

" Why Daniel, why did you do it?" She asked
" How did you come to your senses. Wait, Haratora you didn't." He answered
" Sorry man, I only go by my masters words and since you didn't tell us you are a mage your going to die." I smile
" Hara no!" Hachi put her hand out in front of me.
" Thanks babe." Daniel smiled
" Don't call me that. Event though you knew I was a mage you never told me you were, so I want you to tell me what magic you use." She asked
" Fine, but not here." Daniel sat up and walked out the door.

     Hachi nodded and IceFrye turned into his fighting self. I had flames burst out of my hands and an icy breath. Hachi stayed in her form, but her clothes changed. We walked down an alley and saw light flicker from the walls.

" As a child I was different then others. I had this power ever since I remember, my parents aren't mages but I guess my grandparents because my mother told me this was their power. Electricity is our shrine spirit's power, when you see them can you say Daniel said hi." He explained
" Well nice dude, you can come if you want. But your not going out with my sis since you lied to her face." I respond
" Deal" Daniel answered and smiled at the three of us

      We walked out to a school field and showed Daniel IceFrye, he told us he knew about the legend but he didn't think it would be a scrawny little kid like me. I took offense to that but didn't kill him or anything. At least we have another mage on our sides.

   



   

     

The Cat and The Mouse ( Episode 6: Flame the Panther )

     After a day of resting Hachi was back to her normal self again. After giving us food Winter said her goodbyes and disappeared into the shrine. At the door to her shrine I bowed my head and smiled at her hoping to meet her again. We left and set our journey set on to the fire shrine, where Flame is waiting for us. Hachi and I climbed onto IceFrye's back and held on tight.

" Where to master." he asked

" To the fire shrine" I shouted

" Yes sir." He laughed and gained speed

     I heard his shrine was near a volcano in a national park. I never heard of this volcano, but now I get to see it in person. I was happy as can be, once we arrived IceFrye turned into his human form and Hachi was already chanting. I saw a red shield guarding it, then I saw two red eyes from the doors of the shrine. After Hachi open the shield I heard laughter coming from

" My dear child, what took you so long, and long time no see IceFrye."

" Same goes with you Flame." IceFrye smirked

" I was attacked by Draco on our way here, so don't expect a treat." She joked around

     I saw as the panther looked my way, and again he bowed his head at me. With one paw in front of him, then he stood up and winked at me. I saw him change into a human, in his human form he has red eyes, now I know why he's called flame. He walked towards us with red flames in his hands, he smirked at my face. I was in awe at how beautiful his flames were until he stopped wielding them. He was now in front of the both of us and smiling. 

" Now Hachi, I think you must leave now that I showed my human to you." He started

" Good-bye, Flame." She smiled and disappeared into the shadows.

" Where do I begin kid, were going to have some fun tonight." He laughed and blew fire out of his mouth
" Hopefully we don't put things on fire." I laugh along with me.

     He looked at me and gestured me to follow him. I walked into his shrine and saw that every room was filled with fire lit lights. I looked around and saw the furniture was red with flames. He laughed at me and looked at me.

" What do you know, you look like you like my shrine." He smirked
" Its nice, I think I like it." I answer
" Cool, lets head to the back." He replied and showed me to the back.

     I went into the back and saw that there fire pits every where. They were sky high flames, but then there was a gazebo on flames. Flame walked onto it and gestured me to join him. He sat down and I sat down with him, he helped me calm my mind and made sure I was concentrated on the flame inside of me.

     I concentrated my mind and saw a flame inside my mind. It was red then turned a purple-ish blue color. I opened my eyes to see the same color coming from my hands, Flame just laughed at me. I laughed a bit too and kind of blushed as well. My flame finally went down and I could see my hand again, it was all black.

" You burnt your hand, wow." Flame laughed
" I didn't know I. . . . . ."
" I'm joking kid, just stay calm and it will go away." He smiled
" Okay." I laugh

     I calmed my mind once more like he told me and the blackness left my hand. What was left was a red gem, I took it in my hand and placed it on my necklace. I remember my sister telling me when ever you find a gem in your hands it means you know the magic it holds. I also had a snow white gem on for Winter. I put my necklace back under my shirt and looked at Flame. He was kind of impressed that I knew what I was doing. I guess fire was easy to learn in just one day, or was it.

" So you need to get all of them, right?" He asked
" Yup, and that makes you guys disappear into them so I can get your help if I use your magic." I explain
" Wow wait, I don't think that's how it works man. We still have to stay at our shrine, so maybe the gem just calls for us when you use our magic." He answers
" Maybe that's the better way of putting it." I respond
" A much better way, if any of the other spirits don't know what your talking about they might as well not help you learn every magic in the mage world." He explains even more
" Okay, I think I get it." I reply and hear a knock at the front door.

     I stand up and walk to the front of the house, I open the front door to see IceFrye smiling at me. I guess I summoned him without thinking. I smiled back and said good-bye to Flame, he actually said he would miss me. I tole him the same and bow my head in respect as he changed back into a panther, then disappeared from sight. IceFrye turned into his spirit form and I jumped onto his back. My next journey was to find my stupid sister again, hopefully she hasn't gotten into trouble again. 

The Cat and The Mouse ( Episode 5: Dissappearance of Hachi )

     After a long week of training Winter and I were having some tea she made. I was sitting on the floor by a little coffee table. She was on the other side of it, making sure I stayed where I was. We would smile and laugh often and as well as have a contest of who can make the best snowflake. I was becoming very close with Winter and I didn't want to leave.

" You know your going to next." She asked

" I have an idea. There's Flame, the fire shrine spirit. Then there's Whisp, the grass shrine spirit. Then there's Puddles, the water shrine spirit. There's Cobra, the poison shrine spirit. Draceon, the dragon shrine spirit." I kept going

" There's even more, you need to know all of them." She laughed

" I know." I smile

     We laughed together and smiled, I couldn't believe how many shrines I had to go to after Winter. I couldn't stop thinking about it, then I heard a bark from outside. I ran and saw Spirit he was licking Hachi who was sitting on the ground.

" Hachi, what is it?" I ask
" Draco knows you have him, and he wants IceFrye for himself." She cried
" Sis what did you say to him." I yelled
" I didn't do anything, I just forgot one of his familiars can read minds. And so they told him." She stood up
" But what happened to you, that's all I'm worried about." I was concerned for her

     I walked up to her and saw that there were dog bites in both of her arms and a scar down her face. At least it didn't take her eyes out. I hugged her and cried in her arms, she understood how I felt that moment.

IceFrye as a human

" I wish you took me master." I cried
" Your not ready" She laughed
" But I'm the familiar that has to protect you since I am your brother." I reply and smile at her

     I called for my dragon, and he appeared.  But this time in a different form, a form of a human boy. He had a black hoodie over his head, and his black hair covered one of his eyes. He looked at me and smiled, walking towards me. He stood next to me and looked at Hachi, he smirked at her and used healing magic on her. Even though he was a dragon of dark magic he also learned how to use healing magic, just for the fun of it. His eyes were gray and calming as I watched him use his magic on her. She hugged him after she was healed then let go after a minute.

IceFrye, in human fighting form.

" Shall I kill unwanted guests." he asked and gestured to the front of the shrine where two wolves were snarling
" Do as you please with them," I said very angrily.
" Yes,  master." He laughed

     I watched as his hair moved from his other eye and I saw the
darkness in it. It was pure black, then his hoodie left his head and you could see his horns. Once again his image changed, his hair turned white and his black horns turned blue. Blue wings and a tail appeared as for his clothes changed, and the magic that came from his hands was dark magic but with a white aura to it. I watched as he killed both wolves, and I saw as their mark went up into the air. They were Draco's Familiars, I felt bad for them. But I guess now Adolphus and Jewel are in better homes now. I smile and watch IceFrye put his hoodie back on turning back into a regular human. I gave his hand a shake and was pretty impressed with him. I remember seeing a white wolf with him, I'm guessing that was what his magic was in animal form. He smiled at me then went back into the mark on my cheek.

" I love IceFrye, he's an amazing friend," Hachi spoke then closed her eyes.
" She needs to rest, let's get her inside," Spirit shouts.

     Winter opens her shrine to us once more and lets Hachi rest in a room for a while before we leave for Flame the panther's shrine.  I guess after hearing what Hachi said, IceFrye was the real familiar of Draco. That's wy he wants him back, but this time he belongs right with me, and I am never giving him up for anything.

The Cat and The Mouse ( Episode 4: Winter )

     I let Spirit and Hachi get on first and hopped on myself. I held onto his horns and told him where to go, I guess he knew where I was talking about since it was on a mountain in plain sight from the meadow we were in. He lifted off the ground and flew to the mountain.

" So, what's your name," I ask

" Well, that's nice to see you care. Hachi was the first one when she saved me, now you. Kid your smart. The names IceFrye, I'm not sure how I got this name all I remember is that my last master called me that." he laughed

" Well nice to meet you, IceFrye." I say and pat his head gently.

     He snorts out smoke and rides into the sky. This was the first time riding a dragon and all but the first time is always a charm. It felt as if I was flying myself. We finally landed at a small shrine at the middle of the mountain, he told me he couldn't fly any higher than this since there was a spell on this mountain. We jumped off and he disappeared into his mark on my cheek. I felt it as it became cold. We all walked up to the top and saw the shrine just sitting there. Spirit had went back into his mark and left the two of us alone. Hachi stepped up to a line and sat down behind it. I sat next to her.

" We have to release the power of the animal shrine to let us in." She explains  " Even though we are good friends this tiger is very fierce." 

" Oh." I just say and do as she says.

Winter, snow shrine maiden

     As she finishes a chant we were able to get into the shield. We walk towards the shrine and I see two blue eyes looking at us, Hachi stops and bows at them. I follow her.

" Hachi, what a fine welcome visit my dear." She says and steps out of the shadows of her shrine.

" Same goes with you as well Winter." Hachi answers and stands up.
" How long has it been, 3 years if I'm correct." She purred and walked out into the moon light where her white fur shined.
" I'm sorry I haven't been able to come visit. But I do have someone for you to meet." Hachi replied and pointed at me.

     The tiger looked at me and laughed. She walked up and bowed her head at me, I was confused.

" My dear boy, I hope you know what your doing." She smiled at me and stood up
" Oh, uh, I'm sure I know what to do with the help of my sister and of my familiars." I smile back
" Good answer boy, or I would've chopped off a leg of yours." She laughed and made us follow her into the shrine.

     I laughed a bit and followed her into her shrine, Hachi followed behind me. We walked into a room filled with candles, the tiger laid down and flicked her tail back and forth. I sat down and Hachi sat down next to me. Hachi put her left hand on my shoulder and smiled at me, she told me I had to learn a lot about these shrine spirits before we can beat Draco's ass. Winter then turned into an elegant human girl, she looked about in her 20's.                                                          

Her face was so fair in the moon light, I couldn't believe my eyes. Her hair was white as snow, and she had a collar on with a symbol. That symbol had to be her last masters symbol. I heard when a spirit becomes a shrine spirit they give up their master to take care of a shrine. I guess that's what she did, keeping her symbol to remember her last master. Her eyes were two different shades of blue, dark blue on the top and light blue on the bottom. She looked down at her legs and I could see her cheeks turning bright pink. I look back at Hachi who just nods her head.

" Uh Winter, may I ask a couple of questions." I start

" Oh, right. Sure thing dear." She smiles

" All right then. Can you teach me the ways of the snow?" I ask and bow my head

" Oh, well I can try. I know you are the one that is able to use every magic type there is, I'll do it." She smiled and hugged me

" Uh Winter, are you even aloud to hug me." I question

" Only once to one person. So this ones going to be long." She replied

     After about a couple minutes she let go and was crying. I wiped the tears off of her face and rubbed her hair. She took my hand and stood up, she told me if we were to train for a week then lets start now. I laughed and said good-bye to Hachi, she went off with Spirit to find the next shrine to go to. I walk with Winter the back of the shrine, there was a beautiful garden there. She sat down on a rock and made me sit on the other which was right next to her. I sat down and tried to find my balance but every time I tried I kept falling off it. She would laugh but after the 10th time she told me to be calm, to study magic you have to know your surroundings. I guess she was right, by the end of the week I could use snow magic. But Hachi wasn't to be seen from again. 

The Cat and The Mouse ( Episode 3: I Meet Draco )

     I watched my sister walk out of my room, I was very confused at that moment. I was a familiar to my sister, and it seemed like I had three of them myself. I walked out to the front of the house to see a wolf lying down, my sister was sitting down near. Spoink and Mrs. Whiskers were sitting down on the grass as well, maybe they were waiting for me. Her wolf was a spirit wolf, Hachi named him Spirit because of his power. Then I saw a symbol on Hachi's shoulder that looked like Spirits one on his forehead.

" So where to now." I start

" Holy shit Haratora, your going to come." Hachi smiled

" Well I kind of have to since you gave me this mark." I pointed at

" Good point. Let's go." She said and ran up to me

     I looked behind her and saw Spirit change into a human, I was even more confused. I smiled at him and walked next to my sister. She looked at me and smiled, Spoink and Whiskers were gone they were nowhere to be seen.

" Don't worry Haratora, their in their spirit symbols." She explained. 

" Oh, but what symbols?" I questioned

" Whiskers, you have her red tattoo on her stomach, or your stomach. Spoink you have his black collar on your wrist." She explained even more. 

     I looked in both places and saw them both there. My sister was crazy cool. We walked to a field and stopped in the middle. I watched Spirit go back to his wolf form and snarled at something in the dark. I focused my vision to see two regular wolves growling. But then they came into the moonlight and were black with purple tattoo's. Then a man came from behind them, he had the same purple tattoo on his shoulder. My sister looks at Spirit and she nods, he then nods back and turns into his human form again.

" I see my familiar is working perfectly for you." He laughed

" He's mine, and he chose to save me that day. It's not your fault that you let them keep their emotions. But that's what I do, but then again you take them away the next day or two." She started to cry.

" Your so weak Hachi, you with your familiar. But who is this new kid." He smiled

" The names Hara, now please don't hurt my master or I will hurt you." I stepped in front of my sister and guarded her

" Hara, well nice to meet you, kid. The names Draco, even though it means dragon my family never had one. You have the symbol of one though Hara, did you now that." He laughed

" Yes sir, I did. But I've never used him."

" My dear son, its a women. Dragons in the mage world are always female, just the only one that's a male is the leader of them all. I would be surprised if you could be his master like that." He laughed even more. 

" Draco please, we need to go." One of the wolves said

" Fine, Adolphus. Let's go." Draco answered and disappeared

     I was relieved I didn't have to fight, but I didn't know I had a dragon as a familiar as well. Maybe it is the male he was talking about because I sensed he was a male. I looked at my sister who was in Spirits arms crying. I rubbed my head and smiled at her who looked happy I helped as well. She ran up to me and hugged me.

" Master we should leave," Spirit spoke

" Yes, lets." She smiled not looking away

" But how, I can't give both of you a ride on my back." He explained

" I know, we can summon the one." She said

     I looked at Spirits face to see him very disappointed in her. She looked at me and saw the fear in my eyes, I guess I knew what she wanted to do.

" Fine, but just this once. Till I have full strength to control him."

" Thanks, Hara, and nice nic name you came up with." She laughed

IceFyre

     I walked away from them and put my hand on the symbol.

" Hey man, I'll try and be nice for the first time and all. But I need you right now, could you come." I say and move my hand away from the symbol to the air.

     I saw as the symbol moved to my hand and then out of it, turning into a black dragon. He looks at me and his eyes are smiling at me.

" Nice to met you boy, Hachi was holding onto me for a while. She chose correctly for me." He smiled

" Hello, the names Haratora or Hara is fine. I was wondering if you could give us a ride, I know it's a stupid request." I smirk

" Hara it is, that is fine. Next time let me fight the old man." He laughs and lands on the ground. 

     I look back at my sister and shes smiling and nodding at me. Today was an interesting day. 

The Cat and The Mouse ( Episode 2: My Familiars Appear )

     I went back inside and couldn't find my cat and dog. I called out to them but didn't get a response. I went into my room and saw two little kids, one looked like a cat and the other looked like a dog. I sat down near the door and rubbed my head.

" Master, are you okay," Spoink asked.

" You guys didn't tell me till now." I reply

" Were sorry, Hachi wouldn't let us tell you, we had to stay in our animal form." Mrs. Whiskers explains

" Thanks but no thanks. Now get out of my room." I yell and saw them run out of my room.

Spoink, chill mage.

     I jump onto my bed and see my phone number had changed and almost everything changed. I guess my sister did this while she left. I rubbed my head in confusion and started to cry, I didn't mean to take my anger out on them. I ran out of y room and found them on the sofa in the living room. I sat down across from them and bowed my head. Once I looked back up Spoink ran to me and hugged me, he was a cute dog. But more like a 16-year-old mutt, as a human half dog he looked more like a wolf and he was one year younger than me. He let go and smiled at me, Mrs. Whiskers walked over to me a pats my head several times till I make her hug me. She let go of me and laughed, I guess these two had contracts with my parents until they left, then they handed the contract to me. This is one crazy family, but I'm the only normal one; how?

     But now that I think about it, both of them are 16 years old and I'm the more mature one. I sit there thinking about what to do with them, Once they were kids and now their 16-year-old people.  I stand up and go into the kitchen, I assumed they followed me, but as their pet forms, or as Mrs Whiskers put it as the unneeded form. I drink some soda and sit down at the dining room table, they sat next to me. I look at them and laugh.

" Why are you even here, my parents like made you protect me or something." I ask

" Yes, they did. They told us we will have as much freedom as you give us, but we still have to serve you." She explained

" Oh, okay. So what do we do know." I question

" We will wait till your sister arrives back." Spoink answered

" Fine, I'll be in my room. If you need to just knock or barge in as always." I mutter and walk to my room.

     I walked to my room and opened the door. I closed it behind me and laid down on my bed, ready to fall asleep. I thought about my sister coming to me with no notice before, then just tells me I'm a mage. After thinking a while I fall asleep.

" Where is he!" Someone yelled
" In his room." I heard Spoink reply

     I sat up in bed to see my sister looking at me, she looked like me with her green eyes. But her hair was white like the last time I saw her. She walks over to me and blushes, she then kisses me with no warning at all. She lets go and looks around my face, she smiles and backs up a bit.

" What was that" I ask
" It was for you to become my familiar." She answered
" Then what was the looking around my face smile." I ask again
" I found your mark." She laughed

     I looked into my bedroom mirror and saw a black swirl on my cheek, it also moved. I stepped back and was confused. I guess now I'm my sisters familiar. 

The Cat and The Mouse ( Episode 1: My New Life Starts )

     It was a morning, on a Monday. No school, just summer vacation for a while. I was bored to death on the 5th day of summer already. My parents still went to work and I am the only child in the family. The names Haratora, and I'm 17 years old. There's nothing special about me, I'm just a gamer and that's it. 

     I got out of bed and woke my mutt up, I call him that even though he's a pug. I pick him up and walk into the kitchen while I place him on the island counter. I look at him and he just barks.

This is me, Haratora.

" What do you want Spoink. Geez, I just woke up." I ignore her hunger

     I put a waffle in the toaster and pour me some coffee. I looked next to me and saw our cat Mrs. Whiskers, she's a crazy cat who has too much energy to handle with. I laugh and pet her head as she purrs more and more. I take my waffle out of the toaster and spread butter all over it, then I pour maple syrup on it. I put the plate on the island and eat it there. I finish and clean the plate in the sink. Spoink followed me to the living room, and Mrs. Whiskers sat on my lap while I sat down on the sofa. I turned the TV on and the news was on, I changed the channel to see that Castle was on, my favorite murder show. 

    Spoink sits next to me as I watch TV, Mrs. Whiskers just lays on her back. I continue to watch TV until 8:00 AM, that's when I feed these two nut balls. 

" Breakfast time you two," I say and head back to the kitchen.

     I gave some kibble to Spoink and some wet food for Whiskers. I gave them their food at the same time and went back to the sofa. I went back to the News and saw that it would be thundering today. I locked the dog and cat door, so they both would stay inside. I turned the TV off and was bored with myself.

' Wait it can't thunder in summer, or can it.' I thought to myself

     I looked to my right to see my cat just sitting there. She was showing me her teeth, which kind of scared me.

" What do you want," I said as I looked into her eyes.

" I want you to let me out." She meowed

" Wait, did I hear you correctly." I yelled

" Meowwwww." She yawned while licking her paws

" Good you didn't speak," I spoke out loud.

     I patted her head and placed her on my lap, petting her stomach. I looked down at my phone and my friend Kozikun wanted to hang. He's one of my best friends, we play Minecraft together often. I text him back and forth for a while until he text's in caps that there is no thunder storm today. I look outside and it's sunny out, I rubbed my head in confusion. I laugh and reply to him.

" Dude, it was on the News," I argue.

" Nope, and I watch it everyday man." He texted

" Fine, then it's just over my house, only," I answer and didn't get a reply back.

     I wait for another 5 minutes, no reply. I walk outside with my cat in my arms and see a dark cloud over my house, so far I was right. I watch as it turns different colors and a figure comes out of it. A girl stepped out of it and landed right next to me. Mrs. Whiskers hissed at her and ran back into the house, I just stood there. I watched as she looked at every inch of me, it was like an inspection for drugs. I tried to speak but every time I did she put a finger up to my mouth.

" You seem very new." She described and she looked at my face

" What do you mean," I ask her.

" Your a mage aren't you, you can be my familiar." She laughed

" What's a mage," I ask again. 

" Someone who can wield magic," She laughed even more.
" Magic? That's real." I screamed
" Yes, you should know since your parents are two of them." She explained

     I was shocked and interested at the same time, my parents are mages and they never told their only son. How can they do that to me but was it for my own good. I look at the girl standing there who looks like someone I know.

This is Hachi.

" Hachi?" I question
" What?"
" Oh my god, your my sister." I yell
" You finally remembered who I am to you, good. Now mother sent me so you can be my familiar, meaning you serve me and protect me." She explained more
" Oh, then I'll do it. But one thing, what magic do I have." I asked
" Not yet." She laughed and kissed my cheek

     I watched her walk away and fly back into the thunder storm. After she disappeared, the thunder storm disappeared with her. What was I going to do, my sister just asked me to be her familiar and told me I was a mage, how crazy is this.
